CANON POINT: Episode 47

Backtagging: Sure!
Threadhopping: I'm open to it but please make sure it isn't private first.
Fourthwalling: Why not?
Offensive subjects (elaborate): No bad stuff happening to kids. Otherwise I'm pretty okay with things.

Hugging this character: Kintaros is pretty chillax and also he is big and fuzzy like bear. Go ahead and hug him. Be careful if he hugs back, though, he doesn't remember his own strength most of the time.

Kissing this character: Only if you want him all blushy and flustered.

Flirting with this character: You can try, but it might sail right over the big guy's head.

Fighting with this character: Kintaros only likes to fight opponents that are as strong or stronger than he is, so you can try to pick a fight but he may not take you up on it. If/when he DOES fight, he's extremely strong and goes all in, so give it your best!

Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Being an Imagin, Kintaros' physical form is more of a manifestation than an actual thing. If he's hurt, he "bleeds" sand, and if he's hurt badly enough, he just sort of dissolves for a while until he can reconstitute his form. In other words, go to town! He's kind of like a big fuzzy sentient sandbag that way.

In canon, it takes specific circumstances to seriously injure him (involving time travel, dimensional weirdness, amnesia, or possibly weapons and powers that muck with space-time) and it's best to talk out something that serious, I think.

Killing this character: As mentioned in the fighting section, Kintaros is difficult to actually, permanently kill, and won't go down without a fight in most circumstances. Let's discuss plans for something like this first.

Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Sure. A large part of Kintaros' very existence relies on memory and thought so he's used to it.

Warnings: Kintaros is in all honesty very straightforward and gentle-hearted. He means well and likes people. But he is extremely strong and often forgets that, and accidentally breaks things when he gets too emotional or enthusiastic. He's also something of a narcoleptic, falling asleep at random times and being almost impossible to wake. (He snores.) He might even fall asleep on you, and he's very heavy.

Personality: Kintaros is a straightforward fellow with simple desires in life. He's so straightforward, in fact, that he seems unnecessarily brusque at first blush, even harsh. He speaks plainly and honestly, saying what he means and meaning what he says, though sometimes he thinks his actions will speak for him and he forgets to explain himself, which can lead to misunderstandings. His greatest pursuit in life is improving himself and gaining strength, but while he enjoys exerting his power against worthy opponents, he's a principled man; he won't abuse his strength against women or children, as when Hana intervened in his fight against Den-O and he asked her to step aside while refusing to attack until she was out of the way. He is also fiercely loyal, willing to give up his life for the sake of his friends and put all of time before himself and his needs.

He seems brash and crude at times, and almost childlike in his enthusiasm, but he also has a deep sense of maturity; he's willing to gracefully accept the consequences of his actions no matter how grave, and to own up to his mistakes. When he knowingly and willingly disrupted time because he couldn't stand to see a young girl believe that her father hated her and was sentenced to banishment for his rampage, he made no excuses and bowed to the verdict. He has the wisdom and insight to see a larger picture in life and to understand how his role fits into it. This and his habit of standing or sitting silently with his arms crossed lend him an almost overbearing air of stoicism.

Though imposing in stature and manner, he's gentle at heart and deeply emotional, moved to tears by the reunion of an estranged father and daughter, spurred into vowing revenge at the mere idea of Ryuutaros dying after an enemy ambush. (He later apologised to Ryuutaros for overreacting when the other Imagin protested.) He takes on an older-brother or mentor sort of role with those close to him, often acting to encourage and protect them as best he can. Perhaps he's overly zealous about it from time to time, but he means well – case in point, the sound of someone crying, or even just the word "cry" (or words that sound like it) sends him on a mission to stifle the cause of their tears.

Kintaros has a tendency to fall asleep at random, for little to no apparent reason and regardless of time or location. He can even sleep standing up. Physical assault rarely wakes him, but someone saying "cry" will easily snap him out of it.

Abilities: As Kintaros will unabashedly tell you, he is strong. Superhumanly so, even compared to other Imagin, as demonstrated on several occasions. He's capable of striking so hard it shakes a multi-story stairway violently enough to make people fall off. He can also break lampposts and catch heavy objects with little effort, and can even swing a piece of concrete as big as he is like a weapon with no apparent difficulty. He often forgets his own strength, especially when upset, and casually breaks things. (He immediately tries to repair whatever he's damaged.)

In addition to his strength, Kintaros has the ability to possess humans (and sometimes even human-shaped things like mascot suits). Doing so suppresses the subject's personality, overriding it with Kintaros', and alters their appearance, giving them bright yellow eyes and a golden yellow streak in their hair. If their hair isn't long enough, it will grow into a slightly shaggy ponytail. Possession also confers upon the subject Kintaros' incredible strength and endurance.

Kintaros can, at will, summon or materialise a large axe that is his preferred weapon. It shares his brown and gold motif and he can augment it with a moderate amount of explosive energy for finishing moves like his Dynamic Chop.

He can travel back in time (but not forward) by using a person's memories. If he forms a contract with someone, upon fulfilling it, he can open his contract holder; they essentially become a doorway into time itself and link the present day to the date of their most powerful memory. He has in fact already done this before with his holder Masaru Honjou, though unlike enemy Imagin, Kintaros has no desire to sabotage time.

He's also capable of using the Rider Pass and Terminal Buckle to assume Kamen Rider Den-O Axe Form, which boosts his already considerable power and allows him access to the DenGasher, a multi-form weapon that he uses as an axe in place of his own. He can swipe the Rider Pass over the buckle to charge up the DenGasher for his Dynamic Chop attack.

Sample Entry:
There are few things that can wake Kintaros from his slumber. He's always been a heavy sleeper for as long as he can remember – in retrospect, that isn't a very long time, though it feels like a happy forever – napping undisturbed even in the worst headlock Momotaros could give him.

He hears crying, however, somewhere in the study room. He can't rest until he stops the tears. He also can't seem to find the source. He's been up and down the entire floor twice, and while the sound seems louder or softer at times, he has yet to find whoever it is that's crying. The lights flicker and for a moment he could swear whoever's weeping is just under the next table, but as he rushes forward and leans down to look, the lights turn up just in time for him to see… only the floor.

"What in the world…?" he mumbles, propping himself up with one arm on the table as he scratches the back of his neck, puzzled. Then he chuckles and shakes his head at himself. "My mind must be playing tricks on me," he says, slapping one knee as he gets to his feet. He pays no heed to the sounds now as he makes his way to the staircase, though the room seems to turn darker as he walks away and the crying pricks at his pride. He very nearly stops and turns around – twice, in fact. It takes a great deal of effort to remind himself that it's probably a trick and nothing more. It still chafes to keep walking; he feels as though he's failed in some way. At the stairs, he finally pauses, then rounds on one heel with his fist raised. He knows there's something else here now–

He comes up short at the sight of the bullfairy winging its unsteady way across the room, crying. He doesn't spare a moment to mull it over; he just barges right up to the little thing.

"So you're the one crying, are you?" Not that it answers, of course. It keeps crying, and he frowns, looking it over. It looks tired and just as he wonders why it doesn't land somewhere and rest, he sees why, with those thin little legs all broken. He scowls, enraged that such a sad creature has to live like this in a place like this. It's one thing for a warrior like Kintaros, he decides as the bullfairy seems about to nudge his shoulder. He has somewhere to sleep and can walk without pain. He stifles a low sniffle as he carefully takes the bullfairy in both hands, cradling its sides and belly and trying not to jostle its legs as he sits on the floor, legs crossed. "Why don't we both rest, hm?" he says. This place is as good as any, in spite of the odd sounds he still thinks he hears. The bullfairy looks reluctant at first, lowing at him and flapping its wings as if to take off again; Kintaros just leaves his hands cupped under it and tilts his head to get a better look at its face. "Ah, I don't mind. I'm not hurting you, am I?"
